Nintendo recently had their Q1 results, and things are looking rosy. The company is the most successful it's ever been as it comes to the end of the Switch life cycle.

Nintendo has currently sold 141.32 million Switch consoles, and predict to have sold 154.82 million by the end of this fiscal year.

The current best selling game console of all time is the PlayStation 2, with sales of 155 million. If Nintendo do sell their projected 154.82 by the end of the fiscal year, the Nintendo Switch will be just 188,000 shy of taking the new record, and will surpass the Nintendo DS which is currently in second place with 154.02 million.

Nintendo have updated software sales too. The ageing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe somehow sold another million last quarter, and newcomers Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Princess Peach: Showtime! have surpassed 1 million each in their short time on sale:
