    • That sounds like one of those game shows where the contestants have to put their hand into a box and guess what's inside.
    • It's not quite upping the framerate, it's more that some games don't cap their framerates, which results in uneven dips in games like Goldeneye and Pilotwings.
NSO's emulator is far more capable of running these games at a high framerate, so it's able to reach these uncapped framerates, which results in smoother gameplay. Now I'm not certain if Extreme-G has an uncapped framerate or not. (If anyone knows, it'll be @Dcubed) But that would be why.
    • If you make enough wild guessing and call them leaks, one is bound to be right and you can then say “I told you so”. I’ll wait for Nintendo to tell us.
oh and my brothers friends dads mum, who walks her dog with a guy that went to school with a boy who’s dad now works at Nintendo says that the new machine will be powered by unicorns and shoot rainbows out of it whenever you boot it up. Also it’ll be backwards compatible with every system before it and you can just put in all your old games into the appropriate slot in the new console.
    • Is there some NSO magic working here with Extreme G, like with how they upped the FPS on Pilot Wings? As it just seems to perform SO WELL. I assume that has to be the case, as I'm sure people would have made a huge deal about this game back on the N64 otherwise.    I did used to have Extreme G as a kid but didn't really like it, my brother was more into it. I found the visual style and music a bit scary and was much more fond of Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Kart 64 lol. I can appreciate the game much more now.
    • I did actually suggest the idea of using magnetic Joycons with Qi charging over the existing rail system a good while back; with the Switch 2 utilising a foldable screen.  The big thing being that it would allow the Joycons to be used in any orientation; as you could then have a foldable console that can be used in a horizontal layout, a DS-style vertical layout or a back & front layout with one half of the screen folded towards the front and one towards the back, since the Joycons could just be magnetically attached when you flip and fold the device around. Removing the rail system would enable this to be made possible
