  1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

As someone who’d always prefer first- over third-party characters in Smash, this is easily the DLC reveal I’ve been most excited about, in this or Smash 4. I quite enjoyed ARMS (though like many, dropped it when Splatoon 2 came out), and Min Min was probably my favourite character design out of the all-round fantastically designed cast. Not sure if I’m actually going to be any good with her as her fighting style is definitely unique, but I’ll definitely give her a good shot. And if/when an amiibo ever gets released, I’ll be pre-ordering straight away!
  2. Heh, maybe not then. Sounds like you’ve already given it your best shot! 😅
  3. I’ve been playing a review copy for the past month or so, and have fallen in love with it all over again. Definitely still in my top 10 games of all time. Love the changes made to the quest system, which shaved a good chunk of time off my play through of the main quest. Future Connected was a bit disappointing, to be honest - the story didn’t really grab me, unfortunately, and I was expecting it to be a big longer, but overall, the whole thing is still a fantastic package, and an essential purchase if you’re into RPGs. I’m just pootling around back in the main game now, trying to level up so I can take on some of the later quests.
  4. Thanks so much for this, @Sprout! That’s my final loan paid off!
  5. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Ooh, I’d quite like a red phone box. How would you like to trade one for a neutral corner?
  6. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I've been playing a load of this over the past fortnight, and I unlocked terraforming yesterday. I echo what some of you said about it being a bit fiddly, but I don't really mind personally as I don't plan to use it a whole lot - just to make a few tweaks here and there. I also moved my house yesterday so that its in between two waterfalls, which looks pretty nice; I just need to prettify the area around it now. Also did a load of paving and started the mammoth task of relocating a load of fruit trees, which have all been placed quite haphazardly up to this point. Same with the flowers - I just need to figure out the best way to manage them and plan to work on a small number of hybridisation projects at a time. Looking forward to the first KK Slider gig later tonight - though I do wish that, like in New Leaf, they didn't make it so easy to get KK songs in Nook Shop. The feeling of them being a special treat you had to wait until Saturday night is sadly gone now. Overall still really enjoying the game, though I hope there are lots of updates planned. Despite the new content added in this version, the massive amount of features they've removed feels really apparent to me.
  7. Sure, it's SW-7510-6348-2032, and I have cherries.
  8. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Hey guys! Thought I'd make a reappearance here again now this is out! Been playing since Friday evening and sunk tonnes of time into it already... Still looks like I'm a bit behind some of you (just got to decide where the shop would go this morning, Blathers' tent has just arrived and I donated the 15 critters, and there's no Daisy Mae on my island today), but I'm up for some multiplayer some time. My town has cherries (just like in my GameCube one!), in case anyone's still after them.
  9. Astral Chain -- August 30th 2019

Yeah, the slimes. Not had any luck with them! Interesting how it took you 20 hours abs me 29. Guess I must’ve just been taking my time!
  10. Astral Chain -- August 30th 2019

I can’t remember if there is even a reward for getting 100% of the red matter - I think you just need 80% in each level, don't you? That’s perfectly doable. I’m having better luck finding the cats on my second run through, but some of the toilets are still eluding me.. I’m also not expecting to get many (if any) levels completed to an S+ standard. Each level takes so long to do, restarting from the beginning any time a single mission gets you an S or below doesn’t sound fun to me. There are also the rare chimera in each stage too, which, though I’ve been able to find quite a few, I’ve not been able to defeat any before they disappear. Shame, as the S+ and rare chimera rewards are some of the better ones!
  11. Astral Chain -- August 30th 2019

It was the standard difficulty - though to be honest, I’d probably recommend new players jump straight into standard Platinum difficulty.
  12. Astral Chain -- August 30th 2019

I’ve had a review copy of this for a couple of weeks - you guys who are just about to delve into it are in for a treat! I completed it on Sunday night (29 hours!) and have been spending some time this week going back over missions to try and find more hidden secrets. Honestly, there are so many collectibles and achievements in this game though, I know I’m not going to be coming anywhere close to 100%ing it, but for those of you looking for something to really sink your teeth into for a long time, this game is perfect.
  13. Just gave this one a go this morning - so clever! Felt satisfying to finally make it to the end.
  14. My new level is up! The idea this time was to make a level where it was quite hard - though by all means not impossible - to die. Very few enemies and pits, and most of the platforming challenges you fall down from just give you the chance to try again. Interested to see what it does to the clear percentage.. Anyway, see what you think!
  15. Quite a long level, this one - I even had to delete / condense some parts so that I could beat it within the time limit! Pleased with how it turned out anyway, even if the difficulty is a little on the hard side.
