  1. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Just put in a couple hours... Great so far. The presentation is top notch, very cinematic, the intro was really well done. Nice that the game gets you into the gameplay quickly. Once it opens up, the opening area is pretty daunting, tempting to just go in any direction and explore. Ultrahand takes a bit of getting used to, the rotation especially.
  2. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Collector's Edition is expensive but in person it's really high quality. The way everything is packaged and displayed is lovely. Pins and the metallic poster are great and the art book is much bigger than I was expecting. Seeing it in person I'd have said £110 is about right. Plus the Nintendo Store throw in a couple of extras for free on top of that anyway.
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Collector's Edition from the Nintendo store comes with a couple of extra bits so the box is enormous! I appreciate the packaging art though...
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

I realise the every branch on a tree on a sky island doesn't load when you're on the surface, but the game is more technically demanding. That's fact.
  5. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

I know first party publishers have things a little easier because they can QA and typically release games whenever they want, but this quote from IGN: is remarkable, especially given the game is such a complex sandbox. Absolutely insane. Quite a contrast to other big releases this gen. Best developers on the planet.
  6. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Breath of the Wild had one overworld. Tears has floating sky islands everywhere and build-anything construction kits. You're being disingenuous. It's a much more technically demanding game.
  7. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Reviews are coming in. Metacritic is currently broken, but it was at 97 last I checked. Same as BOTW. Masterpiece confirmed. Edit: couple more
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

*puts lucky bastard @Julius on ignore out of spite*
  9. The Star Wars Thread

Star Wars Visions Volume 2... much, much, better than Volume 1 imo. I watched all the Shorts over the past few days and really loved the majority of them, which I don't think I could say about any in the first season. Beautiful visuals and good story-telling. A couple in particular were just stunning to look at. Only negative is that, once again, each Short tends to retread the same ground. Eight of the nine shorts in Volume 1 were Jedi v Sith stories, and whilst it's definitely not as samey as that this time around, it's similar. Hoping volume 3 keeps the focus on telling stories from around the world. Been great to see various cultures interpretation on Star Wars themes. Please, no more Jedi/Sith though...
  10. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Thanks, for some reason I read it as they're waiting for stock to fulfil my order
  11. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Speaking of the Nintendo Store, does anyone else have Status: Awaiting Shipment for the Special Edition? That doesn't sound promising lol
  12. Hollow Knight: Silksong

It's not releasing in the next month and a half?? I am shocked.
