Take 1 PSP Slim, a car mirror and a PSP window mount and take the PSP to pieces:

The mirror was a little bit bigger than needed:

So I broke out the trusty file:

Put it all back to gether and viola, a PSP rear view mirror for the car. Illustrated on the kitchen window:

There is an official one for use with the PSP Satnav software, but I got a Halfords own brand one. I was in there looking for a car mirror to destroy and saw it by luck. Saved me muchos wing wangs.

And it should be legal, there isn't a law that I know of that says how big a rear view mirror needs to be. I think you can actually get away without an interior mirror as long as you have both wing mirrors. I could be wrong on that though, I'm not even remotely sure of it.

And yes, I think it will end up in the car.

Edit: The electronics on the PSP should still work too, so if I plug it into a generic iTrip device, I should be able to use it for some in car choonz too. Just need to learn to operate it without the screen.

Taken from the MOT check sheet:

Obligatory mirrors are A. an exterior mirror fitted to the offside (right-hand side when seated in the driver's seat), or B. an exterior mirror fitted to the nearside (left-hand side when seated in the driver's seat), or C. an interior mirror

It doesn't say which are obligatory for a normal car though. Useful.

The reasons a mirror could fail:

1. An obligatory mirror:

 

a. missing or insecure

 

b. so damaged or deteriorated that the view to the rear is seriously impaired

 

c. does not provide a view to the rear of the vehicle

 

d. not clearly visible from the drivers seat, or incapable of being adjusted to be clearly visible from the drivers seat.

My PSPAwesome! should be ok.

To be honest I wasn't too impressed with this.

I saw the first picture and got excited.

With apples and bananas I expected wild things.
