Worst Titles For Games

So, I was in a thread on the Wii Board where it was mentioned just how bad the name for SonicandSegaAllStarsRacingWithBanjoKazooie is.

A quick google search brought me to this page here

It's quite an old article, I think. But, I chuckled at some of the truely awful names.

South Park: Lets Go Tower Defense Play is pretty awful. And renaming Halo: Recon to Halo: ODST seems silly. I'm sure there's something blatantly obvious I'm missing in my heeeead but I can't think of it at the moment. Make me laugh forumites!

Bioshock 2. For such a story-driven game, it needed a subtitle (it feels like a book-like series and you don't see books with names like "Northern Light 2"). What happened to "Sea of Dreams"? Although that's not really a worst name contender.

Also: Beyond the Beyond is an awesome name.

Though, from that list, Booby Kids and Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam were pretty funny

But old games are too easy to mock. You know this to be true.

Resident Evil is a pretty bad name the more you think about it.

Also, I cringed when Sega changed Sonic Wild Fire to Sonic & The Secret Rings, which manages to both sound naff and implies sexual happenings.

I always wanted to play Doshin the Giant, and I don't think the name or box art are that bad.

Some of these titles are stunning though. A Boy And His Blob is literally one of my favourite titles ever.

Resident Evil is a fucking amazing name.

I always wanted to play Doshin the Giant, and I don't think the name or box art are that bad.

 

LSD: Dream Emulator comes to mind.

I played a bit of Doshin the Giant (got it for my ex while they were selling it for cheap here), and it's really not too bad. Not a game you would play for too long though... I forgot if there were any objectives or a story mode or anything, but it was still a bit fun. =P

Haha, 'Wild Woody' is pretty funny, but combined with the cover art, it's masterful. I think 'Tech Romancer' is actually quite good.
