What's going on? After receiving news about the special edition DS Lite from Square-Enix, along comes another directly from Nintendo, but once again it's exclusive to Japan. Say hello to the new yellow Pikachu DS Lite, which can be seen by paying a visit to Pokémon.co.jp!

The limited edition incarnation of the best-selling handheld console will be released to coincide with the launch of a new Pokémon store in Japan on July 20th. Any Europeans hoping to get their unworthy mitts on this rare gem will have to resort to either eBay or buying a one-way (or return) ticket to Japan. The Pikachu-based console will only be available from July 20th until August 19th 2007, by which point they will most likely be all gone.
