News: Twilight Princess Hidden Characters

Hidden characters in Zelda: Twilight Princess only available using Action Replay? Check out this video...

Nintendo have often hidden bonus 'easter eggs' inside their games' code, often not normally unlockable unless through some kind of cheating device. The Wii and Cube's Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is no exception, with two hidden enemies having been uncovered and recorded for your viewing pleasure.

Check out a random robot statue, as well as some kind of Goron-Transformer, battle link in this video, courtesy of GameTrailers. Click here to view!

Yeah, Gorons just keep getting more awesome.

They're cool, but maybe they're not just easter eggs. Maybe they were pre-coded into the game as part of some major extra level or section or minigame that you have to have a Wii online connection to activate. A lot like the Mew in Pokemon red/blue.

Since that's the GameCube version I'm thinking no. More likely they were early concepts that were dropped somewhere along production, but left in the code as easter eggs much like the Arwing in OoT.

Goronformers, more than meets the eye...

Wow!!!

I can't think how this Goron-monster would be implemented in the main game. Goron's are a friendly race after all...

Excellent find!

Maybe just before Goron Mines, in place of the Sumo minigame?

Good guess. Or maybe he was the main boss of Goron Mines at some point of development.

And the other beast looks very Temple-of-Time-thing. If my memory serves this dungeon doesn't have a mini-boss, does it?

Yeah, the Temple of Time's mini-boss is that big armoured knight with the sword:

That Goron thing reminds me more of the rock monster from Galaxy Quest than anything.

nice but this is a modification and not a real in game hidden character

@ TheTingler

ROFL omg, you're right!

@ Maiky-nisute

It's not a 'mod', its an Action Replay code, these enemies were left behind hidden on the game disk, but not discoverable during gameplay.

Yeah those 2 monsters/enemies just look like dropped concepts in development to me. Happens all the time where things get made and the best way to get rid of them is to not get rid of them cough* hot coffee cough*.

Must say though guy playing in the video seemed a bit of a nub. coulda just slapped his bow out and saved us about a minute of him getting his ass kicked...

the monster at the start however i would have much rather seen in the game instead of the silly jumping statues with over sized mallets on skinny sticks.

Also i reckon the goron transformer thing would have either been the last boss of the gorons dungeon or perhaps more story driven and had it fight the last boss in there. if it was the first then tbh i'm glad they went with the shackled flame on style goron boss :)

hmm ok than it is no wonder they were left out of the game but why dint they deleted the code in the end? kinda sloppy.

also mabye its in a different launguage? oh and when the gorons transform it reminds me of billy and mandy when Grim turns into a nun and the nuns do the exact same thing as the gorons XD!

That first one would have made a better mini-boss for the Temple of Time. The knight just felt out of place...

The first one is ok but the whole goron thing doesn't fit. It's a stupid idea to create a Goron-Transformer kind of character.
I think the knight, as well as the robot statue aren't the best choice for Temple of Time Mini-Boss. But I would've liked to see the statue somewhere else in the game.

@Nintendo-master2: It's the german version of the game. "Karte" is the german word for map.

Its probably just swapping mesh files around in the code.
Relatively simple.

You can actualy rip assets from the game, and theres all sorts of random mesh's that arnt obviously in the game.

More importantly, if your like me, you can..
