Media: Marsh DS Video

What the...

Check out the trailer for the very odd game Eigo wo Taberu Fushigi na Okimono Marsh DS, which means Marsh: Mysterious Living Thing That Eats English. It seems like a weird Tamagochi-like... English-teaching thingy. Words can't really describe it, so watch the video!

What the... indeed. My girlfriend would be totally into this though.

But it looks good, would be nice if it had an EU release :)

By the way, the girl looks nice and that.. Marsh thing looks cute. I wouldn't mind getting this game if it would teach Japanese.

Would I be right to assume this is a game for learning english? I wonder if they'll release versions for learning other languages...

Like Japanese or Latin! That'd be so awesome!

This is just the sort of mental game the Japanese get all the time, but will never be released outside of their magical land.

well that was a long commercial, imagine that add being on all the time. It would be worse then that Jessica Simpson add with her facewash.

Still it looks ok.

a marshmellow (or how do you spell that?) you have to feed.. and nurture.. thats some scary shit O_o i think i would let it die, then reset the game and let it die again O_o

The way I see it is that you learn english by communicating and nurturing that...uh...thing.
I'd dig that if they were to teach other languages, by what are the odds, really.

Hopefully this game can continue to sell more units for DS so it may have some chance of AT THE VERY LEAST SURPASSING PS1 in sales numbers, as more people consider it valid than people that don't (in terms of labelling it as a console and thus can be compared in terms of unit sales)...
