The first images of Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer) for the Wii have been released...

The first images of the Wii version of Winning Eleven (known as Pro Evolution Soccer 08 outside Japan) have been released.

Details on the controls are still unknown, but the screenshots show some players on a pitch, a football, some circles indicating selected player and the target that the ball is heading towards, and arrows indicating path of the ball and some players. So, not much information from these.

We will bring you details on the controls as they emerge, for now check out the images below. Pro Evolution Soccer 08 is due for release early 2008.

Graphics look a little dull but it's got a while to improve. This shold be good. Shame I suck at football games except mario strikers (Which doesn't really count)

Wow. Early murmurs suggested this game looked pretty impressive and these screens don't seem to disappoint. Looks like Konami are going for a more up-and-close camera style as opposed to EA's more zoomed out Fifa 08.

I guess (with Wii leading the console war) we might see this released outside Japan for a change. I had to import Winning Eleven 6 for the Cube to play a decent footy game. I'm not very good at Japanese, though I picked up on "offsido!"
