News: Nintendo Power Talk Smash 64 On VC

Nintendo Power contemplate the possibilities of Super Smash Bros. 64 coming to the Virtual Console...

In the latest issue of Nintendo Power, the 'Pulse' (think Mailbox) section of the magazine has some interesting information regarding upcoming Virtual Console releases. The magazine reveals that Super Smash Bros. 64 may be released on the Virtual Console to coincide with the release of the highly anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii.

We've seen similar things happen before, such as Super Mario Bros. 3 being released closely to Super Mario Galaxy. If this is true, then maybe we can expect to see Super Mario Kart launching with Mario Kart Wii aswell?

What are your thoughts, readers? Which Virtual Console games would you like to see released alongside upcoming Wii and DS releases?

This news equates to one word - "duh". Of course that's gonna happen, in both cases.

To release with an upcoming Wii or DS game..Yeh Secret of Mana an Tales of Phantasia

Seiken3 for VC would be cool but Seiken3 for the DS would be the shiz... prolly the best Squaresoft game ever, rivaled only by Chrono. Dunno which is better, Chrono = bettery story and music, SD3 = super addictive gameplay and many chrs to choose from.

Terranigma is not a bad idea but it's so damn hard and you easily get stuck in it..it's not exactly "player-friendly" in the sense games nowadays are with all the continue and quicksave options and so on. Terranigma is one of those annoying games where you have to level up like crazy, then play a stage for 15 minutes to get to the boss and die..only to have to play for another 15 minutes before the boss again just cos there's no savepoint in whatever dungeon you're trying. It's really frustrating sometimes.

A few cool VC games to release would be Blazing Star and Prehistoric Isle 2 for the Neogeo, awesome shoot'em ups.
