Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn finally gets dated for Europe...

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (known as Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn in Japan) hit Japan and North America last February and November. Nintendo of Europe have finally given us the news that Radiant Dawn will be heading to Europe, and that it'll be released on the 14th March 2008.

Radiant Dawn carries on from Path of Radiance on the GameCube finished - you can even use saved data on a GameCube memory card to start off Radiant Dawn with an advantage. The Fire Emblem games are turn-based strategy games using grid-based movement and fighting.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn features more than 70 characters, over 40 chapters and three difficulty levels for you to master.

I've heard the Fire Emblem games can be difficult and hard to follow. Will this game be too difficult if it's my very first Fire Emblem game?

Dannyboy - It's a direct sequel to Path of Radiance (which is AMAZING i must say) I recommend you play that first so that you understand the story and characters.

The difficulty depends on how you like to play, if your slighty O.C.D and don't want any of you characters to die (like me) then it can be quite tricky...Remember when a character dies they are dead FOREVER, EVER, EVER, EVER *repeat to fade*

How long has it been since its release, 14 months or more?

RawkingRawlings - Thanks. I'll look out for Path of Radiance, then. :-)

@Solitanze: Just about a year since the japanese release. Sometimes I wonder how many hours a week the translation teams work. 5?

@ Nirual, and we (I'm presuming your Irish or English) don't even need a translation :S :(

Well, anyway its about time its been released over here! I would love to get into Fire Emblem as I have never played it, but it looks interesting especially the way when your character dies...they die

@ Nintendo-master2:
If you're looking to get into Fire Emblem, I HIGHLY recommend either Fire Emblem game for the GameBoy Advance. Personally, I think the art style of the Fire Emblem universe is better suited to the hand held. I would also recommend Path of Radiance for the GameCube which if all you have is a Wii you should still be able to play since it's backward compatible! Get that and a GCN controller and you're good to go!

Is there really enough of a market in PAL territories to even warrant its release?
