News: Mad World Revealed For Wii

An ultra-violent black-and-white Japanese action title for the Wii? Yes please...

The previously-rumoured game Mad World has been revealed by Japanese weekly gaming bible Famitsu, being developed by Platinum Games. From the scan below, one can see that the title uses manga style black and white graphics, with red for blood.

The title is said to be a 'curb brawler' featuring 'comical' ultra-violence, the main character of which carried the burden of his murderous past upon his shoulders. There's no release date as yet, and rumours suggest this one won't hit until 2009.

Yeah, already seen it (it's out there...). It's quite good, although I hope the gameplay has more to offer than just executions a la Manhunt. But I thought that about No More Heroes too after seeing the first trailer (Just "Heroes" back then) and that turned out to be an awesome game.

In any case I'm really digging the style, using only 3 colours. And these people are ex-Clover, they know what they're doing.

the black blood will be censored with white blur

The white blur will then be covered with a red spray to disguise it further \o/

The style of this game looks fantastic, I hope the gameplay matches up!
