The official Japanese Mario Kart website has revealed that the next online Mario Kart Wii competition will be a Galaxy-themed boss battle...

Since the launch of the fantastic Mario Kart Wii (which we awarded a score of 9/10 in our review last month), Nintendo has supported regular online competitions which see you taking on the world in an effort to set the best scores on whatever task Nintendo may set, be it setting a lap record on a modified version of an existing track, or munching mushrooms whilst rushing through numerous glowing gates.

The Japanese Mario Kart Wii website has revealed Nintendo's third planned competition, which will be a boss battle between you and one of the spiked spinners from Super Mario Galaxy. The level will be contained, much like the battle stages, and you'll have to eat mushrooms whilst charging into the spinner to knock it off the edge.

The competition is scheduled to launch on June 1st, so keep checking your MK Channel...
