News: Wii Music Details Revealed

Nintendo reveal the long awaited Wii Music...

First announced several E3s ago back with the initial reveal of the Wii, Wii Music seems to be finally nearing release. The game will be controlled with both buttons and gestures with the Wii Remote, and will feature more than forty different instruments to play.

Players will be able to control many band members simultaneously, though what music the title will contain is still unknown. The game is launching in Japan this year, with a worldwide release also likely.

We're sure we'll be hearing a lot more of this at E3 in July. Stay tuned.

i sincerely hope they put a "create your own music" option, not just remakes of songs...

I really think they'd have to, or have some VERY entertaining career-mode-thing...

In light of the current glut of music based titles this really needs to either be a wiiware game (if it is not fully featured) or a jam packed game with everything you could imagine otherwise people just wont be interested.

Everytime "new details" emerge on Wii Music, nothing really new seems to actually appear. It's nice to see a new screen, but it's kinda lame that the Mii models are so poorly developed, specially after the great Mii models we've seen in Mario&Sonic, Dr. Mario and even in Wii Fit...

I sort of expected this to be the one that would really be the next Wii Sports - something that casual and hardcore gamers would adore. There was also a glimmer of hope that this would be a title that would have SO much depth to it, but considering that this seems to be rushed out the door a little with almost no hype from Nintendo, I don't see it being the next killer app.

But who knows? Maybe it will be their E3 focus.

Ugh, seriously, D_prOdigy - dont jinx it, because this is FOR REAL something Nintendo could make their main fuzz about on E3...

"Please don't, Nintendo!!!"

They cant charge much for this game... tops 25£, I mean, look at it - and its not a game even.

Anywho, the game does have a lot of potential. I wonder how it will fold out?
