Check out these trailers for Disaster: Day of Crisis and see the title in all of its volcanic tsunami glory...
The hype machine is building for Nintendo and Monolith Soft's upcoming Disaster: Day of Crisis - with multiple TV spots for the title hitting Japan, Nintendo have added a compilation of these to the My Nintendo Channel.
The game is out over there in just fifteen days, so it's high time we saw some proper footage of the game in motion:
After the game launches in Japan on September 25th, Europeans will only have to wait until October 24th before it launches here across the continent. A release date for America is still to be announced.

Shame the video is no longer available. Oh well.
I'm still undecided on this. It doesn't look great in the screen shots. But for all I know, it oculd play well and that's all that matters really. Sort of.

Depending on how the game is played I will either like or love this game.
I hope that the events (like the flood he was running from) are more chaos than say once you reach this chapter, point, or level there will be a typhoon.
I hoped that the title would be more chaotic than staged or like GTA. But I am probably wrong.
I also hope that each disaster has a permanent effect. Rather than everytime you enter a certain area you get chased by a wave.

Looks a lot better in motion than the screenshots did.

Hmm doesn't it say "on Wii, play a movie actor."

Well, this one's been long overdue. I hope it's good.

Looks interesting and the idea is pretty good, though I'm not sure at all of it will be any fun. It could be a great game or a great let down. I guess renting could be a good choice :P

Does anyone actually know how it is played yet? It looks like it could either be an on rails set of mini-games while telling the Disaster story, or something like Shenmue.
Either is fine with me as long as it is good and lengthy.

It does look pretty spectacular in motion, and Ray seems to have maintained a fair share of his originally implied badassedness.
Also, was that a meteor shower while you were driving on a bridge? Hardcore.

Well since it says play as a movie actor on the Wii it could be a series of different unrelated situations.

No, we already know theres some story tieing them together at least. It was mentioned elsewhere, a terrorist plot.
The hero really needs to be called J___ B____
though.
I mean, its action-hero initials.
Jack Buer. James Bond. Jason Bourn.
