News: Mr. Resetti 'Disturbing To Young Children'

Posted by Nathan Whincup - Dec 9th 2008 19:31

Mr. Resetti, the angry little mole who has haunted gamers' nightmares since 2001, has his own parental advisory warning in the new Animal Crossing game manual.

Mr. Resetti is potentially the most frightening creation to appear on a Nintendo console to date. King Boo? Nah. Dr. Salvador? We've met scarier nuns.

Sonny Resetti on the other hand is so chilling, so utterly terrifying, that Nintendo have seen fit to print a parental advisory message in the instructional manual for Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City in Europe warning players about the sheer terror they may encounter in this psychotic mole.

Information for parents - Mr Resetti

It is important that players save before switching off the Wii console in order to retain data after each play session (see Saving Data, above). If players switch off without saving, the character Mr. Resetti may appear upon restarting.

Mr. Resetti's purpose is to teach players the importance of saving. However, parents should be aware that his personality and tone of voice, while intentionally humourous, are authoritative and may be disturbing to young children.

Young children? We still run for the bomb shelter if a power cut shorts out our daily sessions in the city.

Mr Resetti is the most terrifying fictional character of all time. He should be in Doom 4.

What is Nintendo coming to I really don't know anymore? I was surprised that Nintendo put this information in the instruction booklet which to be honest most people don't read so much.

They should put this most terrible of warnings straight after their health and safety warning and should be up for at least 20 seconds just in case Nintendo get sued by some crazy parent who claims that there son or daughter got upset about it.

Well its not Nintendo's fault if you don't read the instruction Booklet is it?

Talk about bitching over nothing, Resetti is terrifying to adults as well as kids, if Nintendo removed him then that would be an issue.

Put Giygas's fetus sprite (From Earthbound/Mother 2) in there, thats more fitting of being disturbing...
