News: Silent Hill Pushed Back To February

Bad news for European gamers looking to get their chills this Christmas...

As one of our most anticipated games of the year, it pains us report that Konami's Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will not be seeing a release in Europe until 2010.

The publisher contacted CVG to confirm that the re-invisioning of the classic 1999 horror title will not releasing on Wii until February for Europe. The game was expected to release worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2009, while a US release is yet to be clarified.

One less game for 2009, one more for early 2010. Do you think the date is a good one or not? Let us know what you think below...

Well, if it was on one of the other consoles, then this would be a bad move as the first 3 months of next year are packed for those consoles. But for the Wii, there's slightly less so it could end up being for the best.

^ I'm not so sure about that. What with Red Steel 2 being pushed back to Q1, then on top of that there's Crystal Bearers, No More Heroes 2 and Sin & Punishment 2. All pretty major players; I'm genuinely concerned about how I'm going to fit all these Wii games into my life this Spring.

Well Climax & Konami can probably kiss goodbye to at least half their sales figures... it's a disappointment but i still want to get it when it's released.

By Christmas I'll have Zelda, RE Darkside Chronicles, ToS2 and possibly SMB Wii to worry about ;) And on top of that I don't think I'll be finished with the Prime trilogy that quickly. So I'll be busy till february. Don't mind.
