Gaijin Games' fourth instalment to their WiiWare collection looks like it might be their trippiest yet...

Having already established a cult following with three initial entries in the Bit.Trip series (the latest of which - Void - is set to release in Europe later this month), Gaijin Games are back for more retro action with Bit.Trip Runner.

Already notable for being the first in the series to have you playing as mascot Commander Video, Runner is an on-rails platformer similar in vain to likes of Canabalt. The game will of course be infused with the series' trademark rhythmic action and colourfully retro style.

But enough words, see it for yourself below.

Bit.Trip Runner will feature dozens of stages, and promises to offer a typically hard-as-nails challenge.

The game is set to release on WiiWare later this year.
