Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training makes a return on the Nintendo Switch

Anyone remember Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training? Chances are that if you owned a Nintendo DS at any point then you will have likely come across a copy of the game, especially as it still seems to come bundled with a lot of second-hand Nintendo DS units even today which is surely a testament to its enduring popularity... either that or there are a LOT of copies of the game out there.

The series of games has remained a relative staple on Nintendo platforms since as there were at least two entries on the DS, a title on the Wii and most recently the famously delayed but well-received Devilish Brain Training on the Nintendo 3DS.

With the Nintendo Switch proving to be so popular, it should come as no surprise that Nintendo are planning on releasing a version on the Switch which will be released in Japan on December 27th, there will be a physical version with a stylus and a digital version which will be slightly cheaper and there is no word on a worldwide release yet but it's surely only a matter of time before our matter will be tested once again.

Check below for a bit of information and some trailers...

  • A two-player VS mode is included
  • Games which will make use of the Joy-Con’s IR sensor
  • Home button on the Switch will light up on a daily basis
  • There will be online competitions (with potential prizes perhaps?)
  • Six games are incompatible with the Nintendo Switch Lite

Will you be picking up Brain Training again on the Switch? Or have you had your fill of these applications on the DS and 3DS? If you are picking it up then I suppose the main question will be... is your brain ready?
