E3 2008: New Call Of Duty: World At War Details

Activision have just showcased the latest project of Treyarch's at Nintendo's E3 2008 conference: Call of Duty: World at War, the newest entry to the expansive franchise.

With experience of Wii development, having put together Call of Duty 3, an overlooked Wii launch title with surprisingly effective controls, Treyarch look set to help fill the rather spacious gap in the Wii market for first person shooters.

The latest gameplay video shows, as expected, jungle warfare against Imperial Japan, with the long-wished for co-op mode. The footage showed decent graphics: lots of people on fire due to flamethrowering, plus powerful missile strikes from enemy aircraft overhead causing the whole screen to vibrate.

Set to be Wii Zapper compatible, Call of Duty World At War is scheduled to launch Q4 2008.
