E3 2009: New LotR Game For Wii/DS

From the studio that brought you House of the Dead: Overkill... a colourful, Lord of the Rings game?

Video game publisher Warner Bros. Interactive announced their new partnership with The Saul Zaentz Company which will allow them to publish future games in the Lord of the Rings franchise.

The first such game to be green-lit is The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest. The studio promises accessible gameplay which will appeal to all audiences. Gamers will re-experience the tales of the ranger from the North straight from the original trilogy in a whole different light. The Wii version also supports two-player co-op with Gandalf.

Aragorn's Quest is being developed for Wii by Headstrong Games and for DS, PSP and PS2 by TT Fusion. The game is due to ship this Autumn.
