E3 2010: 3DS Expected October 2010?

Nintendo's much anticipated Nintendo 3DS, a 3D successor to the Nintendo DS, is reportedly expected to be released this October.

According to reports by CVG and others, Nintendo are expected to announce an October release date for the Nintendo 3DS during today's conference.

The console, which was announced in late March but hasn't yet been publicly seen, allows players to experience 3D gaming on the go. Nintendo are expected to release many of their top franchises on the console with rumours suggesting a Mario title could be in the works, as well as a new entry in the Animal Crossing series.
