E3: Nintendo and other publisher's schedules

With only days to go before E3 kicks off, it is time to give you a handy overview of what you can expect, and when. First we look at Nintendo's events, but we will also give you the timetables of other publishers, as they may be showing IPs for the Switch as well.

All times shown are UK time. Add one hour for Central Europe Standard Time (CEST). For example, the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 broadcast starts at Tuesday 12th June 18:00 CEST.

Nintendo

The one we are most excited about is of course Nintendo. The rumour mill is strong, and we already have some rumours confirmed such as the announcement of Paladins for Switch. Further we will finally get the details of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Switch, a game still shrouded in mysteries. And who knows what surprises the big N has up his sleeve!

Splatoon 2 World Championship opening rounds

  • Starts: Monday 11th June at 23:30 (UK time).
  • Ends (approx.): Tuesday 12th June at 02:00 (UK time).

Nintendo Direct: E3 2018

  • Starts: Tuesday 12th June at 17:00 (UK time).

Get a look at Nintendo Switch games for 2018, including the recently announced Super Smash Bros. game.

Nintendo Treehouse: Live | E3 2018

  • Starts: Tuesday 12th June, immediately after the video presentation.

Three days of Nintendo Switch gameplay with Nintendo Treehouse members and developers. Starts with the recently announced Super Smash Bros. game, right after the video presentation.

Splatoon 2 World Championship finals

  • Starts: Tuesday 12th June at 21:00 (UK time).

Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018

  • Starts: Right after the conclusion of the Splatoon 2 World Championship finals.

EA

Electronic Arts is one of the first to present on E3 (well, actually not on E3 but on their own showcase in Hollywood) under the name EA Play. With Fifa 19 confirmed for the Switch already, we may see mentions of this in their presentation. And maybe the big EA can surprise the Nintendo fans?

EA Play

  • Starts: Saturday 9th June at 19:00 (UK time).

Microsoft

Okay, it is a longshot that we will see anything from Nintendo at Microsoft's show. But with rumours of Microsoft support in the upcoming Smash Bros., and crossplay in some games between Nintendo and Microsoft platforms it may be good to keep an eye on this.

Xbox Briefing

  • Starts: Sunday 10th June at 21:00 (UK time).

Bethesda

We can only applaud Bethesda's support for the Switch so far. Thanks to them we can play great games such as Skyrim, DOOM and Wolfenstein II on our favourite hybrid console. Let's see if they have some more in store!

Bethesda Showcase

  • Starts: Monday 11th June at 02:30 (UK time).

Square Enix

With Octopath Traveler on the way, we already know of one SE game coming this year. Recently they have stated that they started a division exclusively for Switch game development. Can we already see some teasers for titles in the works?

Square Enix Showcase

  • Starts: Monday 11th June at 18:00 (UK time)

Ubisoft

Last year Ubisoft surprised with the amazing Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Will they have a similar surprise this year?

Ubisoft Conference

  • Starts: Monday 11th June at 21:00 (UK time)

 Sony

Sony has stated that they will not release a new console before 2020. However, PS Vita support is waning so who knows if they have plans in the handheld department. And it never hurts to watch the competition, right?

PlayStation Showcase

  • Starts: Tuesday 12th June at 02:00 (UK time)
