Furi sales "exceed expectations" at launch on Switch for developers The Game Bakers.

Emeric Thoa, creative director of Furi and co founder of studio The Game Bakers, has said that Furi has made a solid start to life on the Switch.

In response to my question about how the launch went for them, he replied "It's a very good launch for us, and for a launch it has exceeded our expectations, but we need to see if that sticks in the long run."

So although tempered with a sensible approach about how the game will fare in the long run, it seems we can add Furi to the list of indie titles that have had a really strong start to life on Nintendo's hybrid console. Indeed, Thoa goes on to say: "we can't compare to PS4 sales at is was free for PS+ subscribers, but so far it's selling as well as on PC."

We gave the game an 8/10 and had an exclusive interview with Emeric when the game launched.
