Golden Sun, Advance Wars set to hit Wii U Virtual Console

It was something of a surprise when Nintendo confirmed that Game Boy Advance games would finally be coming to Virtual Console, only to reveal that they would be releasing on the Wii U eShop rather than the handheld service. Nevertheless, GBA games on Wii U are imminent, and Nintendo has revealed the first group of games to be made available next month.

The first three games to release will hit a week tomorrow - April 3rd - and are Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Metroid Fusion. Then throughout April, the likes of Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Wario Ware Inc., F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, Golden Sun, and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 will be released.

Price points for GBA games on Wii U VC will be £6.29 / €7.99.

As with all Wii U VC games, the games will be playable off-TV on the GamePad, and each title will have its own Miiverse community.
