Japanese dictionaries at the ready. Level 5's ambitious Dragon Quest IX releases in the Land of the Rising Sun next month exclusively for DS, and Square Enix has released a video overview of just some of the features to expect from the RPG.

The more observant will notice that the video is in Japanese, but we can at least get a feel for some of the gorgeous design, robust customisation features and over-the-top battle moves to be found in the game.

Dragon Quest IX is scheduled to release (and subsequently explode) in Japan on July 11th.
