Media: Monolith Soft's Xenoblade - Trailer

Nintendo team up once again with the folks who brought you Baten Kaitos for another epic-looking RPG...

Monolith Soft's Xenoblade has come quite a way since being teased to the world as Monado: Beginning of the World at E3 last year.

Nintendo teased Xenoblade earlier this year with the opening of a placeholder website which yielded very little. Then came reports that the massive game world would be set upon the corpses of two gigantic gods who died fighting each other long ago.

Now, we can bring you what we'd call a 'mild-quality video of the game in action. Whilst it doesn't reveal much about the story or gameplay, it does hint at the massive scope of the game and some of the intense dangers our protagonists can look forward to facing.

For those wondering what the dialogue is going on about, here's a rough translation:

"Long ago, when this world was nothing more than endless sea and unbroken sky no matter where you went, two giant gods were born -- Kyoshin and Kishin. The gods fought for their lives. And then, they became corpses. Now, after many tens of thousands of days and nights..."

Xenoblade is due out in Japan in the first half of this year. A western release has yet to be confirmed.
