New images from the darkside...

Capcom's on-rails shooter The Umbrella Chronicles released in November 2007 and shocked everyone when it went on to sell over a million copies worldwide. And with Resident Evil having a solid home on Nintendo platforms we were delighted when a sequel was announced in March this year.

Yet as the internet went into meltdown at the thought of another Resi game being on-rails, that mood slowly changed when Capcom announced many of the different scenarios the upcoming Darkside Chronicles would have. Taking place around the events of Resident Evil 2 before taking players to South America for some Resi 5 action, The Darkside Chronicles should flesh out a lot of the back story of our favourite horror franchise whilst giving fans a retro treat as well as a glimpse of Resi 5's circumstances.
