Media: Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows

Spider-Man is webslinging his way on to the Wii and DS again, and we've got some new trailers and screens from his latest crime-fighting spree.

Spidey looks to be back on form after last year's rather lacklustre Friend Or Foe? in his latest baddy-bashing adventure, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

The city of New York has been infected by a symbiote plague unleashed by the monstrous Venom, converting its citizens into a mindless army of zombies. Spider-Man himself has been infected by the same symbiote which he rejected in Spider-Man 3, and must team up with the city's greatest superheroes, and supervillains, to stop Venom and rescue New York City.

Activision have released a host of new screenshots and trailers which show off the many villains and heroes you'll be fighting and teaming up with in Web of Shadows, including two trailers focussing on Electro and Moon Knight.

Black Widow, Rhino, Electro and Moon Knight are but a handful of the colourful characters you'll be meeting up with. Click here for more new screenshots from Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

Shocking stuff! Electro is one of Spider-Man's most fearsome foes; he gained superpowers after having his DNA patterns changed by an electric surge, and has since used them to commit high profile burglaries and to do battle with Spider-Man and various other Marvel superheroes. Sparky's powers should come in handy when taking care of those pesky symbiotes...

Moon Knight is the reanimated mortal avatar of the Egyptian God of vengeance, saved from the brink of death at the hands of an African warlord to cleanse the world of anyone who looks at him funny. Whilst his state of mind is questionable (he once carved a man's face off with a dart), he'll no doubt be an invaluable ally in your quest to rid New York of symbiotes.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is due out on the Wii and DS later this month.
