Fresh from Nintendo's WiiWare summit yesterday, here's the first pics from Worms: Battle Islands!

Making a welcome return to Nintendo consoles, the Worms are back in a brand new WiiWare installment, Battle Islands. Despite keeping the classic 2D gameplay, there are a raft of new features we were able to get our sweaty paws on yesterday at Nintendo's summit, including customisable weapons and maps, motion controls, and hundreds of unlockable items - all gained through an enhanced single-player mode. Meanwhile, the all important multi-player boasts a half dozen modes - available both online and offline.

As always, the sky is the limit when customising matches.

You can even now customise your own weapons, and take them into multi-player modes.
