News: 3DS Update News Around November 4th

Nintendo's autumn 3DS firmware update is expected to hit Europe early next month...

Nintendo of Europe announced today that the major 3DS update will coming to Europe on November 4th; that's according to Nintendo World Report.

The update, which will be released via a free download, is expected to include the ability to record 3D videos, improvements to the Mii Plaza and changes to the eShop store. There is also said to be a brand new StreetPass game in the update, which will join Puzzle Swap and StreetPass Quest.

It is anticipated that Friday's pre-recorded conference in Japan will focus mainly on the update, as well as online networking features for Mario Kart 7.

Update: A bit of clarification from well-trusted European source Nintendaan. Apparently there was a bit of internal confusion about the November 4th date. We're now expecting an official European announcement of the update around that date, but the aforementioned features like the new StreetPass game are still as good as confirmed.
