News: 3DS Web Broswer Details

The impending 3DS software update will finally allow you to surf the web. Find out all the details inside below.

Earlier today Nintendo announced the details for the software update that will see the release of the much anticipated and slightly delayed eShop service for the 3DS. Alongside this the update will provide the Nintendo 3DS with a web browser and some more details about this has been unveiled.

Andriasang report that the 3DS Internet Browser will support viewing websites in 3D, as well as providing information (in Japanese) on how optimise your site if you should wish to.

The browser will be unable to support plugins such as Flash and PDFs but you can save images, including 3D images, to the console's SD card and view them in the Camera application. You can zoom into JPEGs by tapping and holding the stylus and the browser supports MPG, GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP and ICO. The Internet Browser also allows you to save 64 favourites and upload photographs you have taken.
