News: Beatles Rocking Onto Wii This September

The Fab Four are finally getting their own video game, and it's heading to Wii this year!

Having not yet dipped their toes into the waters of digital distribution, the surviving members of The Beatles are to pop the cherry this year with the release of The Beatles: Rock Band. The game is to be released under the Rock Band banner and developed by series regulars Harmonix.

The Beatles: Rock Band is being made for Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will release worldwide on September 9th. In keeping with Rock Band tradition, players can take up the mic, guitar, bass, and drums for the full band experience. Prices in the US start at $59.99 for the software alone (the game is compatible with all current Rock Band instruments), going up to $249.99 if you want the full, premium bundle. Prices for regions outside the US are to be announced at a later date.

Playes can expect to step into the shoes of Paul, John, Ringo and George with classics such as Helter Skelter, Tomorrow Never Knows and Come Together. This is just us wishfully thinking, though; a full track list is yet to be released.
