News: Dragon Quest IX Delayed

The latest entry in the popular RPG series has been delayed. Again.Dragon Quest IX: Defenders of the Starry Sky has had quite the history to it so far ever since it got announced back in August 2006. Since then it has suffered from many delays constantly pushing the release date, making it beyond the reach of gamers. Originally set for a 2007 Japan release, Japanese gamers finally got a confirmed release date at the end of last year through a trailer, confirming the title would be released on March 28th. But today once more, it's been delayed.

The new Japanese launch date is now set for July 11th, just under a 4 month wait. The reason for this delay was "in order to improve the quality of the game". Although this means that gamers in the US and Europe will have to wait a bit longer to get the game, luckily we still have Dragon Quest: Hand of the Heavenly Bride to keep us busy which is set to release next week!
