News: Hunters Multiplayer Modes Revealed!

Find out all the marvelous modes you'll be playing in Metroid Prime: Hunters and more inside!

Confirmed at the recent Nintendo UK Keep Evolving event - which had a working version of all the modes detailed below - were the following pieces of info about the game. Up to four players can play in multi-player, including online. Offline multi-player can also include CPU bots if not all four spaces are filled with players. Single card download play will also be available, though you will be limited to playing as Samus.

There will be seven multiplayer modes. "Battle" will be the classic Deathmatch mode, while in "Survival" it's last man standing as you have only a limited amount of lives. And if you drop out, you're stuck spectating!

In "Bounty" mode you must grab the Octolith artifact and take it to your base to score. "Defender" will be like a King of the Hill mode - you have a part of the mode to defend from the other players. In "Prime Hunter", you'll be playing a deadly game of hide-and-seek. The player designated Prime Hunter must make sure they stay alive. Kill a Prime Hunter and you become it instead, and it's the player who stays the Hunter the longest who wins.

"Capture" sees Capture the Flag gameplay, Metroid style. Steal your opponent's bases' Octolith and take it back to your base to score! Finally, there is "Nodes", where players must activate nodes around the map to score points, a bit like Domination in Unreal Tournament.

More on this much-anticipated title as it breaks!
