Rising Star Games announces plans to release the official video game based on the Ju-On franchise...

Horror fans rejoice! We may not be getting the elusive Fatal Frame IV any time on the horizon, but Rising Star Games have announced they to localise the Wii-exclusive Ju-On: The Grudge video game for Europe.

Developed by feelplus Inc. - the company that co-developed titles such as Lost Odyssey - the game is described as a "haunted house simulator". Movement is controlled with a mere touch of a button, and the IR pointer acts as the player's flashlight. Success is gained with a steady hand and points are lost with shudders and flinching.

Original franchise creator Takashi Shimizu is also on-hand to act as a key creative advisor for the game, so it should certainly retain the spooky element which made Ju-On a worldwide phenomenon.

Rising Star Games plans to release Ju-On: The Grudge for Wii in Europe at the end of 2009.
