News: Mario Baseball Ready For Europe!

Facts and a final European release date for Nintendo's latest sports title starring Mario!

First off, you may notice the game is dropping the "Superstar" moniker for its European release. Presumably Nintendo Europe thought it sounded better without it. Anyway, following in the footsteps of Mario Golf, Mario Power Tennis and Mario Smash Football, Nintendo once again collides a popular (well, in America anyway) sport with the Mushroom Kingdom's inhabitants.

There are plenty of fun features and surprises promised. More than five different themed Nintendo-themed stadiums are featured, for example Peach Garden, Yoshi's Park and Wario Palace. Game modes include Exhibition mode, which features standard matches for up to two players and Challenge mode, where players wander through a world of wild trials, playing mini-games to earn coins and power ups, unlocking characters and clearing baseballrelated challenges on their way to a showdown with Bowser.

Toy Field Mode can be played with up to four players and the objective is to collect points through hits and coins in a selection of mini-games. Finally, Mini-Game Mode involves a series of five mini-games, all of which can be played with up to four players.

Nintendo of Europe have confirmed the game will hit on November 11th of this year.
