The slick European website for the upcoming Mario-themed football game is live.

Mario Smash Football is almost upon us. The mini-site for the European version of the game (also known as Super Mario Strikers in the US and Japan) is now up and can be accessed here. The site features a streaming trailer as well as picture profiles of the game's captains. The stylized art is really quite fantastic.

The game, essentially bringing the philosophy of Mario Kart to the hallowed game of football (thats "soccer" for the more American-inclined), promises to supply an amazingly frenetic, fluid and fun experience wrapped up in trademark solid Nintendo gameplay fundamentals. It is developed by Next Level Games, members of which were behind the excellent Sega Soccer Slam.

Mario Smash Football is slated for a November 18th release date in Europe, December 5th in the States.
