News: Modest Debut for Star Fox, 3DS Spikes

The remake of the N64 classics makes a moderate debut in Japan, but helps the 3DS pull away in the hardware charts...

Last week saw Star Fox 64 3D hit Japanese shelves well in advance of western territories, but the remake still made a fairly quiet debut. In a relatively busy few days for new software, Star Fox could only manage to debut at number 6 in the chart for the week of July 11th to the 17th.

Here's the top ten software chart (total-to-date sales in parentheses):

On the hardware front, the news is a little more positive for Nintendo. The 3DS saw quite the spike in sales, pulling way ahead of any other system for the week. The previous week's sales are in parentheses.
