News: More UK Retailers Reveal New 3DS Prices

More post-cut prices come to light, with supermarkets again undercutting game stores by a significant margin...

The 3DS price cut officially goes into effect tomorrow, and Eurogamer has done a round-up of a few stores' new prices for the machine.

At the top end are the likes of Game and Gamestation. The standalone 3DS system will go for 149.99 in-store. In Game, you can also get the system bundled with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for 159.99 (previously 199.99). Both the standalone and the bundle will be 5 cheaper if you order on Game's website. Also, if you have a DSi or DSi XL to trade in, you can pick up the Ocarina bundle for a tasty 99.99.

In HMV, the 3DS system will also be 149.99, but this comes with a free game; you can choose between Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Rayman 3D, Asphalt 3D, Rabbids 3D, Splinter Cell 3D or Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D. Alternatively, you can get a 3DS for a much lower price if you have a DS to trade in. A DSi XL will get you a 3DS for 69.99 - a saving of 80. A standard DSi will save you 50 and a DS Lite 40.

Supermarket chain Asda is to join with Morrisons in offering the system for 120, with Tesco apparently to undercut even that at 115. Sainsbury's is to price the 3DS at 140.
