News: Nintendo of Europe Expand Ambassador Scheme

Did you get your 3DS before today's price drop but didn't log into the eShop in time? Fret not as Nintendo has an alternative.

Anyone who purchased a Nintendo 3DS ahead of today's price cut will be rewarded with twenty free games in the coming months with what Nintendo has called the Ambassador Scheme. When it was announced a few weeks ago Nintendo said gamers have to sign into the eShop any time before midnight last night, however anyone who was unable to do that has been given a second chance.

Nintendo of Europe has announced that anyone who purchased the console before today and connected it to the Internet, even if it wasn't necessarily the eShop, will be eligible. Additionally anyone who downloaded the recent update or has retained proof of purchase will also be able to join in on the Ambassador Scheme. More details will be announced soon on a specially opened Nintendo site, which at the moment redirects you to the main Nintendo of Europe website.

We will keep you updated with information when it becomes available.
