The innovative GameCube game won the Interactivity award. Bungie's Halo walked away with Best Console Game and Best Multiplayer Game, whilst GTA3, despite being nominated for six awards, walked away with none.

Other winners include Grand Prix 4 for Best Sports Game, which raised plenty of eyebrows from Pro Evolution Soccer fans, and Neverwinter Nights for Best PC Game.
