Ignition Entertainment has today released the first console screen shots for Pool Paradise.

Pool Paradise marks the first time any of Archer's pool simulations have appeared on next-generation consoles, and represents the definitive cue 'n' ball game to date.

Due for release on PlayStation 2, Game Cube and PC in March 2004, with Xbox following a month later, Archer Maclean's Pool Paradise sees the reunion of the code genius and Jimmy White for their fourth collaborative title.

Pool Paradise features no less than 12 main rules sets including all the popular 8 & 9 ball variations in UK and USA format, as well as 14:1, Bowlliards and Switchball and takes place in a fantasy island setting in which there are a host of hidden mini-games and hidden treasures. Players can enjoy the practice table out on the beach, or in the more serious competition hut, or maybe the secret cave. There's also a Stunt Hut featuring some very bizarrely shaped tables, from triangular to ice hockey themed.

We have prepped five screens taken from the GameCube version of the game. Click to see them!
