News: Quidditch For GameCube

Harry Potter's return to GameCube lifts off in Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup.

Electronic Arts revealed today that development of Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup has started at EA UK for GameCube, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance and PC. The latest Harry Potter title is based on Quidditch, a sport from the popular books and movies based on Potter's adventures. The sport had been recreated in previous Harry Potter titles, but only appeared as a mini game.

The magical sport features two teams of seven flying on broomsticks, and features a very unique scoring system. The title sees the players taking control of all the players on their designated team, of which there are four of (The Hogwarts House teams from the books and movies), to compete for the chance to attend the Quidditch World Cup. In the tournament you can play for professional international teams such as the United States, Bulgaria, England, Japan, France, Germany, and Australia. The title is set for an autumn release.
