Ubi Soft today announced that a sequel of the highly successful Splinter Cell is now in development, with a planned release date of Q1 2004.

The game, that will be released on all the major platforms, will be called Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and it will feature its trademark stealth action gameplay with some new action sequences and more detailed environment, as well as a brand new online multiplayer mode.

This online multiplayer modality will be a first for a stealth game, but it's unknown if it will be included in the Gamecube version, given Nintendo's cold attitude towards online gaming.
