It is not just the eShop that is coming next week...

While everyone is eagerly looking forward to next week's software update that will finally see the launch of the 3DS eShop this is not the only thing the update will bring.

The Nintendo 3DS will also receive a SpotPass update allowing for it to receive SpotPass content from supported WiFi hotspots. Nintendo of America announced today it has formed a new partnership that will see the amount of supported hotspots increase and hopefully Nintendo of Europe are also working on enabling as many hotspots as they can.

Prior to this update gamers have had to access SpotPass from their own WiFi network, although Dead or Alive: Dimensions is the only game to utilise it thus far.
