News: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Heads To Wii

Will this be the lightsabre game we've all been we've all been waiting for? The Force Unleashed heads to Wii...

Lucasarts announced Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed a while ago for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP and DS. Lucasarts seemed to be ignoring the Wii...until now. Lucasarts has confirmed that it will also be heading to the Wii.

The Force Unleashed takes place between Episode 3 and Episode 4, and follows the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice. The game will contain a lot of force powers and lightsabre fighting.

Lucasarts say that they have worked hard in making the Wii version unique, presumable due to the controls. Lucasarts have also confirmed a Wii-exclusive 2-player duel mode. The Wii version is developed by Krome Studios, who are behind the PS2 and PSP versions of the game.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is due for release in spring 2008 on Wii, DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PSP.
