European gamers can download the first new Monkey Island title in nine years from today!

Announced at this year's E3, Tales of Monkey Island sees Telltale taking on the Monkey Island mantel - the first part of which finally sees release in Europe on WiiWare today for 1000 Points. Here at N-Europe we've already completed the game on PC - we'll be seeing how the Wii version shapes up in comparison then giving you our full review very soon.

The long-awaited revival sees Guybrush Threepwood ridding his arch-nemesis LeChuck the pirate of his "demonic mojo" and unwittingly infecting the entire Caribbean with said mojo in the process. The threat escalates as pirates begin to transform into horrific monsters, and Guybrush soon must embark on an epic quest to track down a legendary sea sponge holding the power of extreme exfoliation to solve his nasty zombification problem.

The current release schedule of all five Tales of Monkey Island chapters is as follows:

• Launch of the Screaming Narwhal - July 31st, 2009
• The Siege of Spinner Cay - August 2009
• Lair of the Leviathan - September 2009
• The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood - October 2009
• Rise of the Pirate God - November 2009
