News: Xenoblade Chronicles Heading to US

Nintendo of America also issues sombre statement acknowledging the death of Michael Jackson...

Well, they've only gone and done it. After intense pressure from fans begging for a North American release of Xenoblade Chronicles several months ago, Nintendo of America chose today to confirm that the game will indeed be getting a release in the US.

The game will be made available exclusively in US GameStop stores, or alternatively via www.nintendo.com, suggesting something of a limited shipment. The official release window has only been confirmed as 'spring 2012', but word on the street is April 3rd.

Nintendo of America has issued an official trailer for the game. Of note is that it includes the very-British dub, so fingers crossed for our friends across the pond that that is in. The game will be rated T for teen, for blood, mild language, partial nudity, use of tobacco and alcohol and violence.

Xenoblade Chronicles released in Japan during June of 2010, and found its way to Europe this summer. The game received universally positive acclaim upon its release, and earned one of N-Europe's most praising reviews ever.

The game's official US website is also open.
